Compassionate Counselling & Emotional Support
Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, life changes or emotional overwhelm, Heydays Therapy offers person-centred counselling with warmth, professionalism and real human connection.
Welcome to Heydays Therapy & Counselling
My name is Kelly and I am a pluralistic counsellor specialising in bereavement and grief, with additional experience supporting clients with addiction, menopause, neurodivergence, eating disorders and relationship challenges. With over 25 years working in healthcare settings — including SEND schools, a GP practice and running a care agency supporting dementia and end-of-life care — I bring both professional depth and real-world understanding to my work. This has given me insight into the emotional impact of caregiving, leadership, complex needs and life transitions.
My approach is shaped not only by my professional experience, but also by my own life. Having been widowed at 32 while expecting my first child, I understand first-hand the depth and complexity of grief. I have also experienced addiction within my family and am a parent to a neurodivergent child, which has deepened my empathy for the challenges individuals and families can face. These experiences inform the compassion, authenticity and steadiness I offer in our work together.
As a pluralistic counsellor, I tailor therapy to you — there is no “one size fits all.” We work collaboratively, drawing on different approaches to suit your needs, preferences and goals. Whether you are navigating loss, addiction, neurodivergence, menopause, relationship challenges or life changes, I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you don’t have to face things alone.
At Heydays Therapy, we don’t offer “one size fits all” solutions. We recognise that every individual brings a unique history, set of experiences and personal challenges, and therapy should reflect that individuality. Every session begins with you — your needs, your concerns, your pace and your comfort — ensuring that the work we do together feels relevant, collaborative and supportive.
We approach each therapeutic relationship with integrity, respect and genuine care, creating a calm and confidential space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. By fostering trust and emotional safety, we lay the foundations for meaningful reflection, personal growth and lasting change.
